The estuaries of Pontevedra are a unique natural environment in the world, a landscape of incredible beauty, beautiful beaches of fine sand and exceptional wealth of marine fauna and gastronomy, where the land penetrates the Atlantic Ocean.
Raxó is a small fishing village in Poio, Pontevedra and is doubly graced by its location within the estuary and the breathtaking views and cliffs that unfold on the rest of the coast and are known as “As Rías Baixas”.
Its beaches are the most attractive for tourists, such as the sandy beaches of Raxó, Sinás and Xiorto. They are beaches of soft white sand, with a moderate swell and with less affluence than in other beaches of nearby towns.
In this town prevails the peculiar climate of the Rías Baixas. It is of Atlantic type, but in this case it is marked by warm currents, which give it Mediterranean characteristics.
In the surroundings of the Canada Tourist Apartments it is advisable to visit the impressive Monastery of Poio, as well as the wonderful typical seafaring village of Combarro, where you can enjoy the typical gastronomy of Galicia. Due to our location we are strategically close to all the tourist attractions of Pontevedra, having also other interesting places such as Sanxenxo and / or the Cies Islands.
From Peinador Airport
- Take the AP-9 highway towards Pontevedra.
- Take exit 129 towards PO-531, direction Sanxenxo (along the coast PO-308).
- At the fork, keep left and follow signs for Sanxenxo (C-550).
- At the traffic circle, take the second exit towards Avd. de la Barca (PO-308).
- For 12 km stay on the PO-308 until reach Raxó .
From train station
- Take the Pontevedra AP-9 ring road.
- Take exit 1B to join the AP-9 towards Santiago.
- Take exit 129 towards PO-531, direction Sanxenxo (along the coast PO-308).
- At the traffic circle, take the second exit towards Avd. de la Barca (PO-308).
- Fot 12 km stay on the PO-308 until you reach Raxó.

HOW TO GET
Apartments Canada makes it easy to get there, it’s very simple!
Easy access from the highway AP9 (Coruña-Portugal) exit 129 (Poio-Sanxenxo along the coast) to the PO-308 and 12 km is Raxó. Just 1 km after the gas station (Cepsa) on the right pharmacy and 100 m Rabo de porco road on the right.
